Assisted independent living is a nice combination of words and sometimes it is hard to figure out exactly what someone is talking about when they use this term. Some people think this is the kind of care you get in a nursing home and in fact there are many people who believe this to be the case.

But in truth, nursing home care is more about maintenance of quality of life, coupled with a slow degeneration of living activities until the senior can do hardly anything on their own anymore and are completely dependent on nursing home personnel to provide for all daily living activities.
